Take advantage of one of my upcoming expeditions and commission a painting
There is always a list of journeys and explorations that I’m planning, so maybe the place you have been thinking of is already on my schedule!
Here are the destinations in Europe that are booked and/or already in progress:
London is always a firm date! I try to visit every year. In 2019 I’ll be there in February.
In July I’m going to be near Freiburg and Titisee, Schwarzwald (“Black Forest”). I plan to visit Basel (Switzerland) and Colmar (France) and maybe the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen.
Trier is on my schedule at least once.
I’ll be in Berlin for a few days in June – and then ALL of September!
I also plan to re-visit the baroque castle of Bruehl, the Cathedral of Aix-la-Chapelle, and do a lot of bicycle tours.
And I’m going to continue exploring the Rhineland in 2019 – the area around Cologne as well as the region between Bonn and Koblenz (e.g. the Drachenfels, Andernach and Remagen), and also the Romantic Rhine Valley (from Koblenz to Ruedesheim).
There’s going to be a Turner exhibition in Muenster from November 2019 until January 2020 which I *will* see – whether I’m going to stay in Muenster for a day or two is not yet decided.
Also, I plan to visit Delft in the winter for an exhibition of the art of Pieter de Hooch, one of the Netherlands’ most famous artists of the “Golden Age”.
I want to include Vienna in this list, but that will probably have to wait until 2020.
