Today is International Fanworks Day - an annual ev

Today is International Fanworks Day - an annual event on February 15th celebrating and promoting fanworks of all kinds.
Having already "outed" myself as a fanworks enthusiast in December with my Tolkien inspired advent calendar, I can just as well share a small selection of illustrations today that have been created over the years. And quite a few years it's been! My first touches with fanfiction and fanart date back to the time when we used AOL, Usenet newsgroups and Yahoo groups... (OMG! 😮)
When it comes to fanart, I've always concentrated on Star Wars, Star Trek and Tolkien's world.
And through illustrating fan-written stories I have met some wonderful people and been part of some great collaborations. I wouldn't miss it for the world!

PS: Yes, I have also written fanfiction myself, but under a pseudonym - and that's how it will stay 😉

PPS: Better add a disclaimer: I do not own anything related to Star Wars, Star Trek and/or Tolkien, I am not in any way associated, and I never, ever made any money with my fanworks! 😇

In the last weeks, I've been cycling along the Rhine quite often - and one of the first tours I did in 2016, when I started cycling again, was also along the Rhine: the stage between Bonn and Remagen (there on the right side of the Rhine and back on the left side). I also painted the view of the Drachenfels at that time. 🎨
